- A small mask is placed over your nose, and you breathe normally.
- Our dentist controls the amount of nitrous oxide you receive to ensure your comfort and safety.
- Within a few minutes, you may feel a floating sensation and a light, tingling sensation in the hands and feet.
- You remain awake and can still respond to requests or directions from our dentist.
- Once the procedure is over, the nitrous oxide is turned off, and you’ll typically recover in just a few minutes.
- One advantage of nitrous oxide is that, in most cases, you can drive home after the appointment because the effects wear off quickly.
